Subject: World Tour Part 1!
Dear All,
Well it's taken 2 years of talking, 6 months of
planning, 2 weeks of mad packing of the house
(never mind my things) to get here and it feels great
:-) Special thanks again to Shona and Glyn,
Dave and Jude for everything (you know what!). And it
took several packing and unpacking of my
rucksack to reduce the amount of things I'm carrying,
but it's still as heavy as ever!
It's our last day in Bangkok already, but we've seen
so much! Flight fine, good seats, but no
sleep. Hotel upgrade of our room - good start. Spent
most of our time so far sleeping, eating and
drinking - mostly in that order. We've also done lots
of walking around to see the sights, but got
drenched in a rainstorm, through to the underwear!, it
was so refreshing! Have tried the Thai food
- gorgeous, and Thai massage - all down to using
pressure points - and boy did they find them!
Anyone who wants to visit here for a few days or a
week - there are so many things to buy!
Anything and everything you could think of and cheap,
very very cheap. TOO MUCH shopping, so
little space in backpack!!! Elaine and Andrea you'd
love it here!!! Spent 2 days in hotel then moved
to backpackers area, cheaper accommodation, more
lively - weird and wonderful! Have seem sooo
many temples and buddas, the most spectacular a
45metre golden reclining Budda in temple called
Wat Po! This evening we catch the sleeper train to
Chumphon, then the ferry to Koa Toa for a bit of
relaxing beach-time and diving! Hope everything is
fine with all of you!
Mum and Dad - Shona tells me everything ok - good news - don't try to over do it too soon!

P.S. It's hot, damn hot, so hot it'll burn your feet
on the ground :-) Fantastic!
